So there's been a bit of a problem- my laptop has decided to take up a strike and I've got to factory reset it. Meaning I'm going to lose my photoshop temporarily. Since I don't know exactly when I'll be able to get my end up and running again, I'm extending the deadline for the event!
is looking to do a large training collab! All participants welcome!
Have a guardsman or a lord who wants some pointers or just an excuse to rough and tumble with some friends? Have a doe who wants to watch the handsome stags duke it out? Have a fawn that wants to watch- maybe they get swept up into a game of tag with some others!
Your part: Draw your fawnling in any position. From fighting high, ducking low, running, sitting, laying, standing- it doesn't matter! Draw what you think they'd be doing! Message or Note me the link to the background-less sta.sh file once you've done it! Then viola, you're all done!
- Side notes: Does will not be fighting!
My part: I will take all participating characters and arrange them on a background. I will then upload the image and tag all participants.
Opening Date: January 3nd, 2021
Closing Date: Febuary 14th, 2021
If you cannot make this deadline, that's alright! The reason the date is only 2 weeks long is so I can run a lot more of these in short order <3

Sometimes the world never failed to surprise him. When Eloise had asked him for another child he had not hesitated to give her what would make her happy. By Oganach's beard, he would not hesitate to stride to the tallest mountain, carve from the night sky the brightest stars, and string them all upon a necklace if she ever had half the mind to ask for the riches she deserved. He had a very weak will when it came to things she desired. The amount of times he had crawled out of his bed late in the night to go fetch for her some herbs that would ease the discomfort carrying his child, or to satisfy a craving that had awoken her, well he had never bothered to count them. He was very aware most lords would scoff at him and call him a pansy for it. To most lords it was just another sign he was a failure, if his bright, paler-than-his-princess coat wasn't enough of a reason for them.
There wasn't a day that went by that he did not thank whatever Oganach, Aillte, and Earrann blessed notion had crossed the late king Rafe's mind to pair her with him. He who was cursed pale and dainty. He who was cursed with melancholy, who could admit he could find something dreary about the most beautiful of days. He who boasted no large, redeeming harems or strong, redeeming children prior to the ones she blessed him with. He who's only 'redeeming' qualities was his mother's bloodline that produced primarily princesses and his strong magic. Who was he to deserve someone to the likes and caliber of her?
A doe who gave so much to the ideals of Glenmore. A doe who had lost as much as she had given. Who had lived long and taken some of the worst trials Aillte could throw at her. Who had, prior to getting married to him, already given Glenmore five strong and handsome sons. Who had already more than done her duties to the kingdom, who had no reason to put up with his youthful melodramas and panic. A doe who deserved peace, respite, and a strong stag who could give her the things Nico could only wax poetry about. Six years they had been married and he still very solidly believed he did not deserve her, though he went out of his way to try and give her the best of anything she asked for.
As he lay awake one night in spring, staring softly at his sleeping wife in contemplation, he couldn't help but think that if there was ever a time he had not deserved her, now was that time. He felt the tears burn his eyes not for the first time she had told him she was carrying multiples and he bit back a laugh at the irony. He always waxed poetry about giving her the stars, if she but asked, only for her to turn the whole thing around on him. It was she who had given him the stars.
Two little princess daughters lay curled between them- so small and precious looking. Bathed as they were in the moonlight, they looked as if the moon had split in two and had fallen to the earth in mortal forms. They were small and precious- so much smaller than the boys had been and even smaller than his only other daughter, Neri, had been. He feared they were breakable in a way he had not feared since Narcissus was first born. Almost as if one breath would rip away what could only be a dream, for surely no one like him ever was blessed this graciously. Yet no matter how many times he blinked, shook his head, or counted to ten, he always opened his eyes to the previous gifts he'd been given. His little Nikomene and Menodora- his little gifts of starlight and moonlight.
The girls softly started fussing a bit, bringing him out of his contemplation, and he immediately took up humming a soft lullaby. Blessedly they soothed again, settling back into sleep easily and letting their mother rest. Oganach knew she'd had such a hard time with the birth and a fawn was always taxing, let alone two. That was not taking into account their rather atypical health as well- both of them bearing some consequence or another from the birth. Deep, healing sleep was needed for all three and if he had to stay awake all the night long to see it happen- well it was his job to take care of said stars. Aillte knew his wife was a star all her own, after all.

Author's Note: I'm trying to figure out journals? And submitting literature pieces now that you can see to edit the hyper links within x-x Have patience with me, please and thank you.
DatNachtmaehre - Mentioned your precious babes. Also I'm extremely certain Nico would call Nikomene 'Starlight' the same way he calls Menodora 'Moonbeam'. He loves NICK-names, what can I say? ;D
